This is an open letter to Mr. Sean Abbott. For reference Mr. Abbott you do not know me.

Mr. Sean Abbott,

We are a family of sports men and women and our love for sports is not restricted to international boundaries. Cricket is a religion in India. And it does not distinguish between nationalities.

We did not personally know Mr. Philip Hughes. All we knew about him was when he played for Mumbai Indians. We had also heard that he was the youngest player to score to score back to back test centuries. We Indians grieve for a life lost young and pray for his family too!

You on the other hand knew him as a team mate, a fellow cricketer and an Australian. You shared moments and thus memories! Mr Abbott we feel so much for you that it is more than prayers. It is concern for a young man who has his long life ahead. We cannot and do not claim to speak on behalf of Mr. Hughes. We have read so much about him that we all feel him to be a lively chap; someone you would want to be be around to bring postitivity and sunshine in your life! He seemed like a good kid!

Sensing you; he would want you to give it all to cricket and enjoy it! Mr. Abbott, we know this burden weighs heavy on you. But he would not like your being eclipsed cause of him. So, you now own it yourself and your mate to just play on with double the passion. No one can even remotely fathom your hurt. But we all know that any bowler is out to get the batsmen and each batsmen waiting to topple the bowler over. This does not mean that they can't be friends after the match is over. No ways!

Human beings can handle intense amount of pain but thy are not genetically programmed to handle death. Sometimes when life throws you a curve ( it does so for everyone), but you ought not be absorbed in the turmoil. We would request you and cajole you to pick yourself up, we are all around you.

The agony is to see two young men fall and not to be able to help them! You do not have to be connected to us by bloodlines for us to fret over you. And anyone and everyone down under looks so distraught and we have them all in our thoughts. You on the other hand are now under immense scrutiny simply because we cannot afford to lose another one of ours; not even to failure.....

Mr. Sean Abbott we care in ways we can't show. We know that your name will be synonymous with Mr. Hughes. So, make it you strength. The strength of a two kids who would want to just play. The burden is heavy indeed. But who says life is easy.
